I find myself pondering why is it that when I pull up at a corner store or restaurant on the West side, or just not majority White neighborhoods, there are bums and people soliciting. When I go to South Park or Ballantyne I don’t see that. I don’t get harassed. The people who own the stores state that call the police but they come and don’t do anything. Even with the gentrification going on in these neighborhoods it is still going on. It is not just Black people but also White people doing this. The problem is police and government think it’s okay for poor to middle class people to deal with anything even though they pay the same taxes as the wealthy, if not more. We want more protection, the same rights as the wealthy, and better education on a State level.
