Freedom March

The drum is beating
Feet marching
Heads held high

The percussion is coming…
Right down through the middle of the street
And all you hear is it’s jazzy beat

I know it’s the train that leads
To the freedom of my people
And I’m gonna be on it for sure

Here comes the brass
Trumpets ringing to the tops of the trees
Be real quiet so I can hear the clarinets please

The drum is beating the freedom March is on
Side by side are my brothers and I in arms

Praise and glory!
My people have heard the drum
The trumpets echo in their newly awakened ears

Praise and glory!
They can finally hear
A feeling of pride thick as the atmosphere is making others jealous and somewhat fearful but that is not what are here for

No more will we be following in their steps
But together we will make new tracks of our own
Never again will we surrender our rights…
Rights granted by the Almighty above…
We do not need emancipation
This here is our proclamation

My people have heard the drum
The bell has been rung
And we declare ourselves separate
We are not American
We are a mighty tribe of Originals
This land belongs to us
Our ears ring loudly from the trumpets powerful blow
And we are prepared to fight
Our bodies have executed the will to flee
Freedom! Freedom! Freedom!
Praise and Glory to thee. -Phoennix
